Alexandra Geese (Tbc)
Alexandra Geese has served as a Member of the European Parliament since 2019, where she is recognized as a leading advocate for digital sovereignty and open source within the Greens/EFA parliamentary group. As a key negotiator of the landmark “Digital Services Act,” Alexandra has shaped legislation that strengthens Europe’s ability to set its own rules for digital platforms and online spaces, ensuring that European values and interests are protected in the digital realm.
In Parliament, Alexandra Geese is a member of the Committee on Industry, Research and Energy (ITRE) and the Committee on Women’s Rights and Gender Equality (FEMM), and serves as a substitute member of the Committee on the Internal Market and Consumer Protection (IMCO). Since February 2025, she has also taken on the role of Green coordinator in the newly established Special Committee on the European Democracy Shield (EUDS), further advancing the agenda of digital sovereignty and the protection of European digital infrastructure.
