Keith Bergelt
Keith Bergelt is the CEO of Open Invention Network (OIN), the only institution focused on mitigating patent risk in open source software (OSS). OIN maintains the world’s largest and oldest patent cross license. By safeguarding against patent threats, OIN has encouraged the adoption of OSS, the most significant driver of innovation in the 21st century. Funded by Google, IBM/Red Hat, NEC, Philips, Sony, SUSE and Toyota, OIN has 4,000 community members.
Having previously led two hedge funds, served as a technology advisor for Texas Pacific Group,
headed business development, IP, and licensing for the Kelso & Company portfolio company Cambridge Display, and acted as General Manager of the Strategic Intellectual Asset Management business unit at Motorola, Keith is a frequent speaker on corporate strategy, finance and intellectual property management.
