Valeriya Ionan
Established in 2019, the Ministry aims to implement the “State in a Smartphone” vision, an essential part of President Zelenskyy’s Election Program. At the age of 28, Valeriya joined the Ministry from its beginning, making her one of the youngest Deputy Ministers in the Ukrainian government.
She is responsible for the national digital literacy development program and Diia.Education, fostering the digital transformation of SMEs through Diia.Business project, promoting regional digitalisation, coordinating innovation development, and the WinWin strategy. Valeriya leads the European integration team and promotes the brand of digital Ukraine worldwide.
In March 2023, Valeriya was included in the Lasting Legacy book by Mastercard as one of the 25 women leaders worldwide who significantly impact society and governments. She was also included in the EYL#40 in 2023 and listed in “Ukrainska Pravda 100. Women of Power.”
