Justin Colannino has more than a decade of experience representing clients at the intersection of free & open source software communities and for-profit enterprises. At Microsoft, he leads a small legal team that oversees processes to enable responsible open source, standards, and open ML engagement at massive scale. He also works on GitHub’s developer policy team to advance open source developer interests. A published computer scientist in a past life, Justin maintains an active pro bono practice in the free and open source software community, and currently serves on the board of the Open Source Initiative.
